8 Minute Lebanese Pizza, or Manakish, is a quick-bake Middle Eastern flatbread topped with a savory za’atar and olive oil mixture. Crisp on the edges and soft in the center, it’s a flavorful dish perfect for breakfast, snacks, or light meals.
Ingredients
- 1 flatbread or 1 portion store-bought pizza dough
- 2 tbsp za’atar spice mix
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: sliced tomatoes, black olives, shredded cheese, fresh mint, or labneh for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- If using dough, roll it out thinly into a round or oval shape. If using flatbread, place it directly on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix za’atar and olive oil to form a paste.
- Spread the za’atar paste evenly over the dough or flatbread.
- Add optional toppings such as tomatoes, olives, or cheese if desired.
- Bake for 6–8 minutes, or until edges are golden and the base is crisp.
- Remove from oven and serve warm. Garnish with fresh herbs or a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
