Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of pepperoni slices (about 20–25 slices)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a flat surface to smooth out any creases.
- Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the puff pastry, leaving about an inch around the edges.
- Layer the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese, ensuring they cover the surface evenly.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and red pepper flakes (if using) over the pepperoni for added flavor.
- Starting from one edge, carefully roll the puff pastry into a tight log, ensuring the filling stays intact.
- Once rolled, slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the pinwheels with olive oil, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
