Description

Baked Brie is a simple yet elegant appetizer made by warming a wheel of Brie cheese until soft and gooey, then topping it with sweet or savory ingredients. It’s perfect for entertaining and pairs well with bread, crackers, or fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 oz), cold from the fridge
  • 23 tbsp honey or fig jam
  • 2 tbsp chopped toasted pecans or other nuts (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Crackers, sliced baguette, or fruit for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place the cold Brie wheel on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 8–15 minutes, or until the center is soft and gooey.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish using a spatula.
  6. Drizzle with honey or spread fig jam on top.
  7. Sprinkle with toasted nuts and herbs, if using.
  8. Serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit.

Notes

Leave the rind on — it keeps the cheese contained as it melts.Customize with sweet (jam, honey) or savory (herbs, garlic) toppings.Serve immediately after baking for best texture.Use puff pastry for a more decadent variation.
