Description
Baked Buffalo Chicken is a healthier, oven-baked version of the classic buffalo wings. Juicy chicken breasts or thighs are seasoned, baked, and coated in a spicy buffalo sauce for a flavorful main dish perfect for dinners, game day, or meal prep.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for greasing)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- Pat chicken dry and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place chicken in the prepared baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Meanwhile, heat hot sauce and butter in a small pan until melted and combined.
- Remove chicken from the oven and brush generously with the buffalo sauce. Return to the oven for 5 minutes to set the glaze.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions and serve hot.
Notes
