Ingredients
- 8 chicken legs (drumsticks)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried herbs (thyme, oregano, or rosemary)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Pat chicken legs dry thoroughly with paper towels to help the skin crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and dried herbs.
- Brush chicken legs with olive oil or melted butter.
- Rub seasoning mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken legs.
- Arrange chicken on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake at 425°F for the last 5 minutes.Chicken can be seasoned up to 24 hours ahead and kept in the fridge until ready to bake.To reheat, use the oven instead of the microwave to maintain crispy skin.
