Description

A crispy, juicy, and flavorful baked chicken coated in garlic, parmesan, and breadcrumbs. This healthier oven-baked version is easy to prepare and makes a perfect weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 cup bread crumbs (Italian seasoned or plain with herbs)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush chicken breasts with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Dredge chicken in the breadcrumb-parmesan mixture, pressing to coat evenly.
  5. Place coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internally and the coating is golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Substitute chicken thighs for an even juicier option.Use panko mixed with breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.Add Italian seasoning or dried basil for more flavor.Top with mozzarella for a cheesy crust.Serve with marinara for an Italian twist.
