Description

Brazilian Lemonade is a creamy, refreshing drink made with limes, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut milk. Despite its name, it’s actually a lime-based beverage, offering a unique tropical twist on traditional lemonade. Perfect for summer, barbecues, or any occasion, this drink combines tangy lime with sweet creaminess for a delightful, indulgent treat that’s easy to make and incredibly refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 limes (depending on size)

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (canned, full-fat or light)

  • 4 cups cold water

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: 1 tablespoon sugar (if you prefer a sweeter drink)

Instructions

  • Prepare the limes: Cut the limes into wedges and remove any seeds to avoid bitterness.

  • Blend the ingredients: In a blender, combine the lime wedges, sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, cold water, and optional sugar if desired. Blend for 30 seconds until the limes are fully blended and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  • Strain the mixture: Strain the blended mixture into a large pitcher using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove pulp and rind.

  • Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Brazilian Lemonade over the ice. Stir gently and serve immediately.

  • Garnish (optional): For an extra touch, garnish with a lime slice or mint sprig.

Notes

For added tropical flavor, blend in fruits like pineapple, mango, or strawberries.Make it fizzy by replacing part of the water with club soda or sparkling water.Adjust the sweetness by reducing the sweetened condensed milk or using a sugar alternative.
