Description

A Breakfast Burger brings together juicy patties, melty cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg, combining the best of breakfast and burgers in one hearty sandwich. It’s flavorful, customizable, and perfect for brunch or any time you’re craving a satisfying bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/plant-based alternative)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 cheese slices (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
  • Butter or oil, for cooking
  • Lettuce or baby spinach (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Optional sauces: ketchup, mayonnaise, aioli, or breakfast sauce

Instructions

  1. Shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties until desired doneness, about 4–5 minutes per side. Add cheese slices in the last minute of cooking. Remove and let rest.
  3. In a separate pan, melt butter or add oil and fry the eggs to your preference (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).
  4. Lightly toast burger buns in a skillet or toaster until golden.
  5. Spread your chosen sauce on the bottom bun. Add a burger patty with melted cheese, a fried egg, and optional lettuce and tomato.
  6. Top with the upper bun and press lightly. Serve warm.

Notes

Use ground beef with 15–20% fat for the juiciest patties.Customize with avocado, jalapeños, sautéed mushrooms, or onion rings.Fry eggs just before serving for the best texture.Use gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps for a gluten-free version.Toast buns to prevent sogginess and add texture.
