Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 cup cooked rice
    1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix well.
  • Remove from heat and fold in the sour cream and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
