Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1.5 cups cold milk
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (jarred or homemade)
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Optional: 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form a crust. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
- Spread apple pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer. Chop apples into smaller pieces if desired.
- In another bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread over the apple layer.
- Top with remaining whipped topping, spreading it into an even layer.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and ground cinnamon, if using.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set before serving.
