Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 12 oz pasta of choice (spaghetti, fettuccine, penne, etc.)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
- Add cream cheese and whisk until melted and smooth.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
- Add Parmesan, mozzarella, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Stir until cheese is fully melted and sauce is thick and smooth.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2–3 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and add directly to the sauce.
- Toss pasta until fully coated with sauce. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
