Description

Cheesy garlic bread is a crispy, buttery side dish topped with melted mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Soft on the inside and golden on the outside, it’s a comforting favorite that pairs perfectly with many meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread loaf
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and salt until combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered bread.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Switch to broil for 1 to 2 minutes for a golden, lightly crisp top, watching closely.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but garlic powder can be used in a pinch.void over-buttering to keep the bread from becoming soggy.Best served immediately while hot and crispy.
