Description
Chocolate bark is an easy, no-bake treat made by melting chocolate and topping it with nuts, dried fruit, and other flavorful add-ins. Perfect for gifting or snacking, it’s endlessly customizable and ready in under an hour.
Ingredients
- 12 oz high-quality chocolate (dark, milk, white, or a combination)
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, pistachios, walnuts)
- 1/4 cup dried fruit (e.g., cranberries, cherries, apricots)
- 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt
- 2 tbsp candy pieces, coconut flakes, or crushed pretzels (optional)
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon or chili powder (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it evenly into a 1/4-inch thick layer with a spatula.
- Immediately sprinkle chopped nuts, dried fruit, sea salt, and any optional toppings over the warm chocolate.
- Gently press toppings into the surface so they stick.
- Let the chocolate bark set at room temperature for about 1 hour, or place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until firm.
- Once hardened, break the bark into pieces and store in an airtight container.
