Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2–3 tbsp maple syrup, honey, or other sweetener
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl or jar, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
- Add the chia seeds and stir thoroughly to combine.
- Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight until thickened.
- Stir before serving. Add more milk to adjust consistency if desired.
- Top with fruit, nuts, coconut, or chocolate chips and enjoy chilled.
