Description

Churro Crack is a sweet and addictive dessert bar that layers buttery toffee over crisp crackers and finishes with a warm cinnamon-sugar topping. A quick, easy treat with the irresistible flavors of a churro.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers or graham crackers (about 40 crackers)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: melted white chocolate or caramel for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the crackers in a single layer to cover the baking sheet completely.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Bring to a boil and let bubble for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the crackers and spread it quickly with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  6. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the hot toffee layer immediately after removing it from the oven.
  7. Let the Churro Crack cool completely at room temperature for 30–60 minutes until set.
  8. Once cooled, break into pieces. Optionally, drizzle with melted white chocolate or caramel before serving.
