Description

Cookie cake is a thick, chewy dessert that combines the texture of a cookie with the presentation of a cake. Perfect for parties or special occasions, it’s easy to decorate and slice, making it a fun and festive treat for all ages.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • Optional frosting or sprinkles for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8- or 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set. Do not overbake.
  9. Cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, decorate with frosting and sprinkles if desired.
  10. Slice and serve.
