Cranberry Baked Brie is a warm, elegant appetizer made with creamy Brie cheese wrapped in golden puff pastry, topped with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and optional nuts. It’s festive, easy to make, and perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 whole wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 oz)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 1/3 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Place the Brie wheel in the center of the pastry.
- Top the Brie with cranberry sauce and chopped nuts if using.
- Fold the pastry up over the Brie, pleating to seal.
- Flip the wrapped Brie so the seam is on the bottom and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the pastry with egg wash.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with herbs and drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
