Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp orange zest (optional)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
- For the frosting:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
- For the topping:
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and orange zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and dried cranberries.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until golden around the edges and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Do not overbake.
- Cool bars completely in the pan.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and orange zest and beat until creamy.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled bars.
- Sprinkle with chopped dried cranberries and drizzle with melted white chocolate.
- Chill for 30 minutes before slicing into squares or triangles and serving.
