Description
Cream Cheese Spinach Dip is a rich, cheesy, and flavorful appetizer made with spinach, cream cheese, and seasonings. Served warm and bubbly or chilled and creamy, it’s perfect with bread, chips, or fresh veggies for dipping.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
- 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) if serving warm.
- In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Stir in spinach, garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread mixture evenly into a baking dish if baking.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
- If serving chilled, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve with bread, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped canned artichokes for a spinach-artichoke dip.Use fresh spinach if preferred—just cook, drain, and chop first.To make it lighter, swap sour cream with Greek yogurt and use light cream cheese.Keep warm at parties in a small slow cooker on the warm setting.
