Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil or butter. Add the chicken and sear for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Add Italian seasoning if using. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

- For added flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine before adding cream.
