Description

Disney Inspired Churro Toffee is a crunchy, buttery toffee coated in melted white chocolate and sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar. Just like the popular Disneyland treat, it’s a magical mix of caramelized crunch and churro flavor made easily at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional, for depth)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or white candy coating
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar (if using), and salt.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 290°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Immediately pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
  6. Let the toffee cool completely until firm, about 30–45 minutes.
  7. Melt white chocolate chips or candy coating until smooth.
  8. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
  9. Spread or drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled toffee.
  10. While the chocolate is still wet, generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
  11. Let the chocolate set completely, then break the toffee into pieces.

Notes

Use a candy thermometer to ensure proper toffee texture.Don’t refrigerate toffee; moisture can ruin the texture.Break the toffee into pieces using your hands or a sharp knife once fully set.Add crushed cinnamon cereal or nuts for extra texture and flavor.Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
