Description
Disney Inspired Churro Toffee is a crunchy, buttery toffee coated in melted white chocolate and sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar. Just like the popular Disneyland treat, it’s a magical mix of caramelized crunch and churro flavor made easily at home.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional, for depth)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips or white candy coating
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar (if using), and salt.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 290°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla extract.
- Immediately pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
- Let the toffee cool completely until firm, about 30–45 minutes.
- Melt white chocolate chips or candy coating until smooth.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
- Spread or drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled toffee.
- While the chocolate is still wet, generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
- Let the chocolate set completely, then break the toffee into pieces.
