- For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk (or more for desired consistency)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- For the bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine milk, sugar, butter, and salt. Stir until the butter melts. Add the yeast mixture and eggs, then gradually add flour and knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- For the cinnamon sugar filling: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
- Assembling the bread: Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12×8-inch rectangle. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on the dough. Roll up the dough tightly and place it into the prepared loaf pan. Let it rise for 30 minutes until puffed up. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth. Once the bread cools for about 10 minutes, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Serve: Let the glaze set before slicing and serving warm. Enjoy!
