Description

Doritos chicken tenders are crispy, cheesy, and bursting with bold flavor thanks to a coating of crushed Doritos chips. Baked or air-fried, these juicy tenders are the ultimate party snack or fun family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese or flavor of choice)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tbsp hot sauce (mixed with eggs)
  • Optional: ranch or spicy mayo for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or set air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut chicken into strips if not using pre-cut tenders.
  3. Set up a dredging station: one bowl with whisked eggs (and optional hot sauce), one with flour mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, and one with crushed Doritos.
  4. Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then press into the crushed Doritos to coat well.
  5. Place coated chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, or air fry for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.
