Easy Balsamic Grilled Chicken is juicy, flavorful, and quick to prepare. Marinated in a tangy balsamic blend, then grilled to perfection, it’s a versatile dish that works for weeknights, meal prep, or summer cookouts.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour in the marinade. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard used marinade.
- Grill chicken 5–7 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

For extra flavor, marinate overnight.Bone-in chicken works but requires longer cook in over indirect heat.No grill? Cook on a stovetop grill pan or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes.Add crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce for spice.Freeze raw chicken in marinade for easy future meals.
