Description

Easy Croffle (Croissant Waffles) is a quick and delicious treat made by pressing croissant dough in a waffle maker until golden and crispy. This easy croffle recipe creates flaky, buttery layers with a crisp exterior, making it perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert with sweet or savory toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package croissant dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • Butter or cooking spray (for greasing)

  • Powdered sugar (optional)

  • Maple syrup (optional)

  • Fresh fruit (optional)

  • Chocolate spread or hazelnut spread (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Lightly grease the waffle maker with butter or cooking spray.

  • If using store-bought croissant dough, separate it into individual triangles and roll each one into a croissant shape.

  • Place one or two croissants in the waffle maker depending on the size of the waffle plates.

  • Close the waffle maker and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until the croffles become golden brown and crispy.

  • Carefully remove the croffles from the waffle maker.

  • Serve warm with toppings such as powdered sugar, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or chocolate spread.

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding the waffle maker so the croffles cook evenly.

  • Croissant dough works best because its buttery layers become extra crispy in the waffle maker.

  • For extra crispiness, cook the croffles a minute longer until deeply golden.

  • Sweet or savory toppings both work well depending on your preference
