Description
Easy Grilled Mahi Mahi is a quick, healthy seafood recipe with a mild, slightly sweet flavor and a firm texture that holds up perfectly on the grill. Ideal for summer cookouts or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 mahi mahi fillets (fresh or thawed, about 6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Optional: ½ teaspoon paprika, Italian seasoning, or fresh herbs
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
- Pat mahi mahi fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.
- Brush the mixture generously over both sides of the mahi mahi fillets.
- Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Place the fillets on the grill.
- Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Make sure fillets are fully thawed if using frozen mahi mahi.Use a wide spatula and flip carefully to prevent the fish from breaking apart.Let the fish naturally release from the grill before flipping.Grilled mahi mahi is great served cold in salads, wraps, or tacos.Internal temperature should reach 137°F for doneness.
