Description

This hot crab dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer packed with tender crab meat, rich cream cheese, and savory seasonings. Baked until bubbly and golden, this easy crab dip recipe is perfect for parties, gatherings, or a comforting snack.


Ingredients

  • 250g crab meat, cooked and picked over for shells
  • 200g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Fold in crab meat, green onions, and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and dust with paprika.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Use fresh or high-quality canned crab for best flavor.Avoid overbaking to keep the dip creamy.Add a splash of milk if the mixture is too thick.
