Description

Easy Oatmeal Pie Crust is a no-roll, hearty alternative to traditional pie crusts. Made with oats, brown sugar, and butter, it’s chewy, nutty, and pairs beautifully with creamy or fruity fillings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon if using.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir until mixture is evenly moistened and crumbly.
  4. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden and set.
  6. Let the crust cool completely before filling.

Notes

Use gluten-free oats and flour for a gluten-free crust.Swap butter for coconut oil for a dairy-free version.Add chopped nuts or shredded coconut for extra flavor and texture.Use maple syrup or honey instead of brown sugar for natural sweetness.Great for no-bake and chilled pie fillings.
