Description
Easy Oatmeal Pie Crust is a no-roll, hearty alternative to traditional pie crusts. Made with oats, brown sugar, and butter, it’s chewy, nutty, and pairs beautifully with creamy or fruity fillings.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon if using.
- Add melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir until mixture is evenly moistened and crumbly.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden and set.
- Let the crust cool completely before filling.
