Description

Easy One Pan Baked Dumplings are a simple, comforting dinner made with frozen dumplings baked in a savory garlic-ginger sauce—all in one pan. These oven baked dumplings come out tender on the bottom with lightly crispy tops, making them the perfect no-fuss weeknight meal with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 1 (20–24 oz) bag frozen dumplings ( chicken, vegetable, or preferred filling)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth

  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil

  • Optional: 1 cup sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, or bok choy

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Lightly grease a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish with neutral cooking oil.

  • Arrange frozen dumplings in a single layer in the pan. Do not thaw.

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and broth.

  • Pour the sauce evenly around the dumplings, allowing it to coat the bottoms without fully submerging them.

  • If using vegetables, scatter them around and between the dumplings.

  • Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  • Remove foil and continue baking for 10–15 minutes, until the liquid reduces slightly and the tops become lightly golden.

  • Garnish with sliced green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Keep dumplings frozen until ready to bake for best texture.Ensure the pan is tightly covered during the first bake to trap steam and prevent dryness. For crispier tops, broil for 1–3 minutes at the end, watching carefully.Avoid overcrowding the pan to allow even cooking.
