Description

A warm and comforting dessert made with soft bread, juicy peaches, and a creamy custard base. Perfect for using up day-old bread, this easy peach bread pudding is simple, versatile, and indulgent.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups bread cubes (French bread, brioche, or challah)
  • 2 cups canned or fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Cut bread into cubes and place evenly in the baking dish. Scatter peach slices over the bread.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Pour custard mixture evenly over bread and peaches, pressing gently so bread absorbs liquid.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden brown and center is set.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm or chilled.
