Description
Peach salsa is a vibrant, sweet-and-spicy condiment made with ripe peaches, crisp vegetables, fresh herbs, and lime juice. Perfect for summer meals, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats, tacos, or tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- 3 fresh ripe peaches, peeled and finely diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/4 red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced peaches, red bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeño.
- Stir in the chopped cilantro and freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Let the salsa rest for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
For a creamier texture, add diced avocado before serving.Use nectarines or plums as a substitute for peaches.To reduce spice, omit or reduce the amount of jalapeño.Best served fresh but can be made a few hours ahead.Do not freeze, as the texture will be affected.
