Description

Freezer Peach Jam is a quick, no-cook jam that captures the fresh, sweet flavor of peaches without the hassle of canning. Perfect for spreading or as a topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and mashed (about 56 medium peaches)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 box (1.75 oz) fruit pectin (such as Sure-Jell or Ball Pectin)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, and mash the peaches to your desired consistency, leaving small chunks if you prefer a chunkier jam.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed peaches with granulated sugar and lemon juice, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the fruit pectin to the peach mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the pectin to activate and thicken.
  5. Check the consistency by dropping a small amount onto a spoon. If it’s thickened to your liking, pour into clean freezer-safe containers, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top for expansion. If the jam is too runny, add more pectin as per package instructions.
  6. Cover the containers and place in the freezer. Store for up to 6 months. For immediate use, refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
  7. When ready to use, thaw the jam in the refrigerator overnight and enjoy!

Notes

For a spiced flavor, add cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger to the jam mixture.Mix with other fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries for a mixed fruit jam.For a lower-sugar version, reduce the sugar to 1 1/2 cups or use a sugar substitute like stevia or honey (make sure your pectin is compatible with the sweetener).Adding a splash of vanilla extract will give the jam a creamy, aromatic flavor.
