Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh ripe peaches, peeled and finely chopped or mashed
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 (1.5 oz) packet instant or no-cook fruit pectin
Instructions
- Peel and finely chop or mash the peaches until you reach your desired texture.
- In a large bowl, combine the peaches with lemon juice and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and pectin thoroughly.
- Gradually stir the pectin mixture into the peaches and stir for 3–5 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Ladle the jam into clean freezer-safe containers, leaving about ½ inch of space at the top.
- Seal the containers and let them sit at room temperature for 24 hours to fully set.
- Store in the freezer for up to 1 year or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks once thawed.
