Description

Garlic butter steak bites and potatoes is a hearty, one-pan dish featuring tender steak, crispy golden potatoes, and a rich garlic butter sauce. It’s a quick, flavorful dinner perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb baby potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Optional: 1 tsp chopped rosemary or thyme

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. Add chopped potatoes, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crispy and fork-tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed, then sear steak bites in a single layer for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and return cooked potatoes to the pan.
  5. Add butter and minced garlic, stirring to coat the steak and potatoes evenly. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until garlic is fragrant and butter is melted.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional herbs. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the garlic butter for a spicy version.Top with shredded Parmesan or cheddar for a cheesy finish.Swap potatoes for cauliflower or zucchini for a low-carb option.Use cast iron skillet for best sear and even cooking.Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in skillet or oven.
