Description

Garlic Shrimp Pasta is a fast and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp, al dente pasta, and a buttery garlic sauce with fresh lemon and herbs. It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (plus more as needed)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more butter if needed. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and reserved pasta water. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in fresh parsley and top with Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
