Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-baked tart crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam or jelly, strained and thinned with 1–2 tsp water
  • Optional: 1 cup pastry cream, vanilla pudding, or sweetened cream cheese
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint leaves or powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the tart crust according to recipe or package instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. If using a filling, spread an even layer of pastry cream, pudding, or sweetened cream cheese into the cooled crust.
  3. Arrange the halved strawberries, cut side down or fanned out, over the filling in a decorative pattern.
  4. In a small saucepan, gently heat the strawberry jam or jelly with water until pourable and smooth.
  5. Brush the warm glaze evenly over the strawberries using a pastry brush or spoon.
  6. Refrigerate the tart for at least 30 minutes to allow the glaze to set.
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
