Ingredients
- 8 oz goat cheese log
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or good-quality jarred)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Crusty bread, crackers, or pita for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread goat cheese evenly into the bottom of a small oven-safe baking dish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add marinara sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
- Pour marinara over goat cheese and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until bubbly and heated through.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and drizzle with a little olive oil if desired.
- Serve hot with crusty bread, crackers, or pita.
Notes
Use cream cheese or ricotta if you prefer a milder cheese base.Cast-iron skillets work great for both baking and serving.For a richer dip, add shredded mozzarella or Parmesan before baking.Serve immediately for the best melty texture.
