Description

Goat Cheese and Marinara Dip is a warm, creamy, and tangy baked appetizer featuring soft goat cheese topped with rich marinara sauce. It’s simple yet elegant, perfect for pairing with crusty bread, crackers, or veggies at parties or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz goat cheese log
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or good-quality jarred)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Crusty bread, crackers, or pita for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread goat cheese evenly into the bottom of a small oven-safe baking dish.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Pour marinara over goat cheese and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, until bubbly and heated through.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and drizzle with a little olive oil if desired.
  8. Serve hot with crusty bread, crackers, or pita.

Notes

Use cream cheese or ricotta if you prefer a milder cheese base.Cast-iron skillets work great for both baking and serving.For a richer dip, add shredded mozzarella or Parmesan before baking.Serve immediately for the best melty texture.
