These Grilled Za’atar Chicken Thighs are juicy, tender, and bursting with bold Middle Eastern flavors. Marinated in a zesty blend of za’atar, lemon, and garlic, this easy grilled chicken recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or summer cookouts.
Ingredients
- 6–8 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
- 2 tbsp za’atar seasoning
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine za’atar seasoning, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Add chicken thighs and coat evenly with the marinade.
- Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for best flavor).
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Place chicken on the grill and cook for 6–8 minutes per side, turning occasionally.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
