Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3–4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil or cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Optional: 1 bell pepper, diced
- Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and brown.
- Push the potatoes to one side and add ground beef and chopped onion to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Stir to combine all ingredients in the skillet.
- Continue cooking for another 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are fully tender and everything is well-seasoned.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot, topped with chopped parsley or shredded cheese if desired.
