Description

This Herb Tofu Dip is a creamy, dairy-free spread made with fresh herbs, tofu, and bright lemon flavor. Packed with plant-based protein, this easy herb tofu dip is perfect as a healthy appetizer, sandwich spread, or veggie dip.

Ingredients

  • 300 g firm or silken tofu
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley, dill, chives, or basil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional)
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  • Drain the tofu and gently pat it dry to remove excess moisture.
  • Add the tofu, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the fresh herbs, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast if using. Blend again until fully incorporated.
  • If the dip is too thick, add water a little at a time and blend until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  • Serve chilled with vegetables, crackers, or as a spread.

Notes

Silken tofu creates a smoother, creamier dip, while firm tofu gives a thicker texture. For an oil-free version, simply omit the olive oil.Roasted garlic can be used instead of raw garlic for a milder flavor.Add chili flakes or paprika for a hint of spice.Stir before serving if slight separation occurs.
