Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 (11 oz) bag soft caramels (about 35 caramels)

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange pecan halves in clusters of 3–4 pieces to resemble turtle legs.
  3. If using store-bought caramels, melt them with heavy cream in the microwave or on the stovetop until smooth.
  4. Spoon a small amount of melted caramel over each pecan cluster. Let sit for a few minutes to set.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.
  6. Spoon or drizzle the melted chocolate over each caramel-covered cluster.
  7. Optional: sprinkle sea salt on top while the chocolate is still soft.
  8. Let the turtles set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
  9. Once set, remove from the baking sheet and store in an airtight container.
