Homemade PayDay Candy Bars are a no-bake sweet and salty treat made with layers of roasted peanuts and chewy caramel. They mimic the classic candy bar using simple ingredients and are perfect for gifting, snacking, or satisfying a craving.
Ingredients
- 2 cups roasted salted peanuts, divided
- 11 oz caramel candies, unwrapped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line a loaf pan or 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Spread 1 cup of peanuts evenly across the bottom of the pan.
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the caramel candies, butter, and sweetened condensed milk.
- Stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the peanuts in the pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of peanuts on top, gently pressing them into the caramel layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.
- Lift out of the pan using parchment paper and cut into bars.
