Description

Homemade Pigs in a Blanket are the ultimate bite-sized party appetizer made with juicy mini sausages wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough or puff pastry. These easy homemade pigs in a blanket bake up golden brown in just minutes, making them perfect for game day, holidays, or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry
  • 24 mini cocktail sausages

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)

  • Dipping sauces of choice (mustard, ketchup, honey mustard, etc.)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Unroll crescent dough or puff pastry and cut into small strips wide enough to wrap each sausage.

  • Pat sausages dry with a paper towel to help the dough stick.

  • Wrap each sausage with a strip of dough, slightly overlapping the ends.

  • Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Brush tops lightly with beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds if desired.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
