Description

Homemade Ranch Dip is a creamy, tangy dip made with sour cream, mayonnaise, and a blend of herbs and spices. It’s perfect for dipping veggies, chips, or spreading on sandwiches and wraps.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp dried chives (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar (optional, for tang)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, and dried chives if using.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Add lemon juice or vinegar for extra tanginess, if desired.
  5. Mix well until herbs and seasonings are fully incorporated.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor—just triple the amount compared to dried.Make it lighter by substituting Greek yogurt for some or all of the sour cream/mayo.For a spicy version, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste.Dip thickens slightly as it chills—stir before serving if needed.
