Description
This honey glazed salmon with mango salsa is a fresh and flavorful dish combining tender, caramelized salmon with a sweet and tangy tropical salsa. A quick and healthy recipe perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
For the Salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
For the Mango Salsa:
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1–2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lime juice, and olive oil to make the glaze.
- Season salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
- Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes.
- Pour the honey glaze over the salmon and cook for 1–2 minutes, spooning glaze over the fillets as it thickens.
- Remove from heat once salmon is cooked through and nicely glazed.
Make the Salsa:
8. In a bowl, combine mango, red onion, bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeño (if using).
9. Mix well and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve:
10. Plate the salmon and top with fresh mango salsa.
Notes
