Description

Lemon Glazed Air Fryer Donuts are light, fluffy, and full of fresh citrus flavor. Made without deep frying, these donuts have a tender crumb and a bright lemon glaze, making them a fun, healthier treat perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease silicone donut molds.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Pipe or spoon the batter into the prepared donut molds, filling each about 3/4 full.
  6. Place the molds into the air fryer basket and cook for 8–10 minutes, or until the donuts are golden and spring back when touched.
  7. Let the donuts cool slightly before removing them from the molds.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth to make the glaze.
  9. Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, let the excess drip off, and place on a wire rack until the glaze sets.

Notes

Add poppy seeds to the batter for lemon poppy seed donuts.Use orange juice and zest for a citrus twist. For extra indulgence, drizzle with white chocolate or fill with lemon curd.Don’t overfill molds—batter rises during cooking.Store unglazed donuts for freezing and glaze after thawing for best results.
