Description
A refreshing and colorful salsa made with juicy peaches, crisp vegetables, and zesty lime juice. Perfect for summer gatherings, barbecues, or as a topping for grilled dishes.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe peaches, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- Wash and dice the peaches into small bite-sized pieces.
- Dice the red bell pepper and finely chop the red onion.
- Mince the jalapeño, removing seeds for a milder flavor or keeping them for extra heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine peaches, bell pepper, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture and season with salt to taste.
- Stir gently until everything is well combined.
- Let the salsa sit for 10–15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
Use ripe but firm peaches so they hold their shape without becoming mushy.Fresh peaches are best, but canned (drained) peaches can be used.Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.Not suitable for freezing or reheating.
