Description

This Pear Brie Flatbread is a quick and elegant sweet-and-savory recipe featuring creamy melted brie, juicy sliced pears, crisp flatbread, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect as an appetizer, brunch option, or light dinner, this pear and brie flatbread delivers gourmet flavor with minimal prep time.

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared flatbread or naan

  • 4–6 ounces brie cheese, sliced

  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet.

  • Brush the surface lightly with olive oil.

  • Arrange sliced brie evenly over the flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.

  • Layer thinly sliced pears over the cheese.

  • Sprinkle with fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper. Add chopped nuts if using.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden and crisp.

  • Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey while still warm.

  • Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Use firm pears such as Bosc or Anjou to prevent excess moisture. The brie rind is edible and softens during baking but may be removed if preferred.Add caramelized onions for a savory twist.Substitute apples for pears for a slightly firmer texture. For extra richness, drizzle with balsamic glaze instead of honey.
