Description

Puff Pastry Pizza is a quick and delicious twist on traditional pizza, featuring a flaky, buttery puff pastry crust topped with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners, appetizers, or a fun, customizable meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Your favorite toppings: pepperoni, sliced vegetables, cooked sausage, olives, mushrooms, fresh basil, etc.
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unfold the puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet and lightly score a ½-inch border around the edges (do not cut all the way through).
  • Use a fork to prick the inside area of the pastry to prevent puffing in the center.
  • Bake the pastry for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden and puffed.
  • Remove from the oven and gently press down the center if needed.
  • Spread pizza sauce over the center, staying within the scored border.
  • Add shredded mozzarella cheese and desired toppings.
  • Return to the oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs or grated parmesan if desired, slice, and serve.

Notes

Pre-baking the crust helps prevent sogginess from the toppings.Use cooked or quick-cooking toppings to ensure everything is done at the same time.Let the puff pastry thaw fully before using to prevent cracking.Reheat leftovers in the oven to maintain crispiness—avoid microwaving.Try different sauces or cheeses to suit your taste or dietary needs.
