Description

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls are a delightful combination of flaky crescent dough, creamy pumpkin filling, and a hint of warm spices. These rolls are soft, sweet, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a festive fall treat. The rich pumpkin and cream cheese filling makes them irresistibly delicious, and they’re quick and easy to make with store-bought crescent dough!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, cream cheese, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger (if using). Mix until smooth and well combined. Add vanilla extract and stir again.
  3. Open the can of crescent dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
  4. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the pumpkin cream cheese filling onto the wider end of each crescent triangle. Carefully roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point, sealing the filling inside.
  5. Place the filled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter to give them a golden, crisp finish as they bake.
  6. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Once the rolls are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. If desired, dust them with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

For extra texture, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the pumpkin cream cheese filling. For a spiced sugar topping, sprinkle a mix of cinnamon and sugar over the rolls before baking. To make them vegan, use dairy-free crescent rolls, non-dairy cream cheese, and maple syrup in place of granulated sugar. If you want a sweeter touch, drizzle the rolls with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk after baking.
